In 2010, three years after she moved to Roanoke, Camellia reconnected with classical music when she discovered VCO. Since that time she has supported the orchestra playing viola or violin as a member of the VCO string section.
Camellia started playing piano at the age of six, added violin in the fifth grade, and viola in the eighth grade. Currently, in addition to her viola and violin playing with VCO, she sings and also plays guitar, bass guitar, electric violin, and synthesizers in a few local bands (The Bastards of Fate, Hovering and Red Clay River).
Besides the pleasure she gets from supporting the local music scene, Camellia loves her work as manager of a locally owned health supplement shop (Natures Outlet), where she is always learning something new, and she enjoys being outdoors, exercising at the YMCA, and spending time with her cats!
