Amy Rockhill, who works as an orthodontist by day, first joined the violin section of VCO in the fall of 2009. She also plays violin in the Bedford Community Orchestra, in a string quartet, and in several area church orchestras, as well as fiddle and mandolin with the bluegrass band “Just Us” and the old-time/contradance band “The Flaky Biscuits”.
In addition to her love of creating beautiful smiles and playing all types of string music, Amy has a passion for distance running. She has completed 14 marathons and is an active member and past president of the Star City Striders. Amy also has compassion for dogs needing good homes. Her pets are two retired racing greyhounds and a little dog rescued from starvation by Angels of Assisi.
Amy began serving on the VCO Board of Directors in February of 2013 and is currently serving as President.
